The CRL is a 3.45km twin tunnel, transforming the dead-end station at Britomart, creating two new stations at Aotea and Karangahape Road and reconnecting to the network at a redeveloped Mt Eden station.
The Link Alliance is a consortium of local and international construction companies responsible for delivering the tunnelling, stations and the systems contracts.
These companies include Vinci Construction Grands Projet S.A.S, Downer NZ Ltd, Soletanche Bachy International NZ Limited, WSP Opus (NZ) Limited, AECOM New Zealand Limited and Tonkin + Taylor Limited.
The purpose of this position is to lead and ensure the effective performance of an on-site structures team. You will be a skilled team leader expected to motivate and encourage the team from the front and work in alignment with the site Supervisor and Foreman to deliver tasks to meet project targets.
Key responsibilities include : Lead structures crew of 5-10 workersProject and request restricted work permits from site Foreman.
Ensure plant is operated correctly by the team and daily plant checks are carried out.Set minor tasks for the team, ensuring productivity and valueContribute to Morning Team Briefing (pre-start) and Weekly Toolbox TalksAbout You : 8 years’ or more construction experience, at least 2 years as a team leader.
Excellent knowledge of concrete, reo and formwork systems.Experience with managing time and productivity of the team to ensure minimum waste and maximum efficiency.
perform documentation and dimensional checksExcellent verbal and written skills with an ability to converse with team members, subcontractors and suppliers at all levelsStrong understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements relating to regulatory and industry standardsDesirable candidates are those who hold a NZQA unit standard 3789 for basic loads and is a trade qualified Carpenter / BCITO Concrete Construction Level 4 or equivalent.
