This role will work closely with Patient Care Assistants, clinic staff and Clinical Team Leaders to follow-up with families / whanau whose children have either not attended their dental appointments or who have not made contact with our service.
The primary focus of this role is to use your communication skills and empathetic ways to support and inspire the children of our families / whanau to attend their dental appointments.
The role will require building a rapport with our families / whanau, as well as with community agencies. Previous experience working alongside our Māori and Pacific families / whanau is highly desirable, in addition to : Excellent communication and relationship building skillsAbility to prioritise and multi-taskHighly organisedPositive attitude and a good sense of humourAttention to detail and high level of initiative are essential, as is your maturity to handle a range of complex situations.
