The Role

The Senior Manager / Manager assists the Directors / Associate Directors and other leaders in delivering quality consumer insights and research services to clients.

It is expected for a Senior Manager to take the lead on day to day management and execution of research projects, ensuring projects are managed to time and on budget.

This role will also supervise junior team members, providing clear direction and training on core research processes including commercial project management, questionnaire design and the preparation and delivery of quality reports and presentations for clients.

In this particular role the focus is more so on quantitative projects however it is expected that from time to time the Senior Manager will also work on qualitative and mixed methodology projects.

We are looking for an energetic individual, driven by curiosity and a desire to help clients solve their business challenges.

The ideal candidate has research consultancy experience, particularly with commercial clients.

Expectation of a Senior Manager / Manager includes :

  • Lead some client relationships and work in a support capacity on others, depending on nature of client relationships and size / complexity of research projects
  • The ability, with senior guidance, to take a research brief from a client and translate client business issues into research objectives through to a recommended research design
  • Assist seniors in business development activities, including involvement in credentials and thought leadership initiatives in addition to assisting with preparation of project proposals
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to draw on multiple data sources and the knowledge of what analytical techniques can be deployed to address particular client research objectives
  • To be directly accountable for delivering projects to specification and within budget
  • Solid understanding of research principles and the ability to write first draft questionnaires, screeners and discussion guides
  • Qualifications and Experience

  • Tertiary educated
  • Experience in a consultancy research environment
  • Project management experience
  • Strong problem solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ideally strong knowledge of basic statistics and working knowledge of multivariate analysis
