MidCentral DHB is upgrading and expanding its infrastructure services, taking a 30-50 year view. It is creating an Infrastructure Strategic Plan and Roadmap to guide investment and seeks a skilled Assistant Principal Hospital Engineer to supports its implementation.
This role will help ensure that not only does the hospital’s plant and infrastructure operate efficiently and effectively, it supports the work of clinical teams and the delivery of health and disability care.
Successful candidates will have rounded experience in Health engineering, construction and maintenance with a proven ability to apply critical thinking processes when developing plans and programs. You will be adept at :
General Information
MidCentral District Health Board employs more than 2500 staff at Manawatu, Palmerston North, Tararua and Horowhenua and Otaki districts.
Palmerston North Hospital is a 350 bed secondary hospital, which services an urban population of 80,000 and a total population catchment of 168,000.
In addition, the hospital is a teaching hospital, and is associated with both Auckland and Otago medical schools.
Palmerston North is a major university city and is at the hub of key routes to the central North Island ski fields, and river adventures.
