NCEA and NZ Scholarship Materials Developers
Type : Part-time contract Location : New Zealand
NZQA is inviting applications from individuals for NCEA and NZ Scholarship Materials Developers for the 2020 examinations.
Materials Developers will work in their own time with the examiner to produce assessment materials for the externally assessed NCEA standards at levels one, two, three, and NZ Scholarship for 2020.
Assessment Materials Developers are required for the following subjects :
Korean (Level 1)
Training will be held in Wellington on Wednesday 29 August for all new Materials Developers.
Materials Developers are required to :
liaise with the allocated National Assessment Facilitator
work with the direction of the examiner to produce assessment materials for externally assessable achievement standards within the required timeframes
attend a planning and development meeting between July - September to draft examination material
attend a meeting in January - February 2020 at which a review of the 2019 examination will occur and inform the development of the 2020 examination.
Materials Developers will maintain the highest levels of security and confidentiality when :
liaising with allocated Secondary Examination Team members and other examination contractors
working with all examination materials.

Materials Developers will demonstrate :
extensive subject knowledge and familiarity with the New Zealand Curriculum
an understanding of the principles of standards based assessment
experience in developing high quality assessment material for a standards based environment
professional expertise in standards based assessment
knowledge of the rights and responsibilities of the partners of the Treaty of Waitangi in an educational assessment setting
the ability to establish constructive working relationships with other professionals
clear and effective communication
the ability to work to stringent deadlines
the ability to implement and maintain appropriate administrative and communication systems.
