  • This role is responsible for implementing category strategies, with an emphasis on enabling execution of trade marketing strategies to suit the New Zealand consumer and trade dynamics.

    Reporting directly to the Head of Market Development, you will be responsible for leading the product and placement strategy delivering to business targets.

    You will take responsibility for enabling the execution of Category Strategy by developing toolkits to help the sales team unlock retail excellence across all channels.

    Additionally, you will maintain efficient and effective Nielson relationships along with providing analytical support to the Commercial Team to realise opportunities across our total portfolio of brands.


  • Shelf Management : Develop & maintain Trade-Standard benchmark for both Category & NPP product portfolio and develop planograms for all Grocery and Specialty accounts.
  • Category Reporting : Provide market & competitor analysis & insights including key implications & recommendations. Aim is to support effective decision making and selling aids through strong category understanding at field.
  • Lead understanding of competitors by channel, monitoring key competitor activity at a channel level, transitioning these insights to action plan to drive category growth.
  • Completion of key store planograms and insights when requested.
  • Work closely with Shopper Activation Manager and Field team to deliver a calendar of execution initiatives and supporting toolkits.

    You possess strong market and sales experience within an FMCG environment and have a proven capacity to effectively deliver results while exceeding expectations.

    You will be a natural collaborator with a strong proactive mind-set and be able to influence those around you to drive your account growth.

    You will possess excellent interpersonal and strong communication skills as well as advanced computer literacy and analytical skills.
