BNZ has an exceptional opportunity for a strategic and commercial Rewards specialist to join us!

In this role, you will own the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the BNZ reward program of work with a focus on delivering first class reward consulting service to the business and the people teams.

Your responsibilities will include :

  • Manage BNZ's remuneration framework including market data analysis, the development of salary ranges and management of the remuneration review processes
  • Lead the implementation of reward initiatives and processes including benchmarking national and global data, diversity pay, incentive schemes, administration of remuneration IT systems and salary budgeting
  • Responsible for the delivery of the specialist component of the benefits work slate
  • Support the market benchmarking for Executive Leadership roles
  • Be the reward SME for the business and work collaboratively with the Organisational Development team to drive a high performance culture and linkage between performance and reward
  • Develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships in order to inform and understand business imperatives and market trends which will support the creation and continuous improvement of effective BNZ Reward programs and decisions
  • Skills and experience we are looking for :

  • 5 to 7 years in HR with a minimum of 3 years in reward and performance
  • Previous experience developing and implementing HR policy and strategy
  • Proven experience in developing performance management frameworks and strategies and working with the business to implement
  • Understanding the critical linkages between performance, remuneration and benefits
  • Successful experience in developing and delivering staff benefits, including understanding of tax and other legislative implications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to analyse and present complex data in a succinct and easy to understand way
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage projects, on time and within scope
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and management skills
