In our Transport Access Delivery Group, our aim is to provide transport system surety through effective compliance processes, monitoring and management.
It's the NZ Transport Agency's responsibility to manage the collection of revenue including Road User Charges and Regional Fuel Tax.
The purpose of the Specialist Assessor role is to perform the necessary audit activities in order to determine compliance with the relevant legislation for these activities.
You will love to work autonomously, methodically and have great attention to detail, in order to successfully check for compliance and to investigate irregularities.
A key responsibility will be to proactively interact with commercial entities to explain requirements and effectively manage case files to analyse and assess data.
You will have experience in a similar role, (ideally but not necessarily within Government) and bring an understanding of legislation to provide high quality and timely advice to a range of stakeholders.
So, your confidence and ability to build and maintain positive working relationships will be key to your success.
