    A place where you’ll go home at the end of your shift knowing you played a very important part in the recovery of service users and feel the satisfaction of doing something that really counts?

    He Puna Waiora meaning "a pool of wellness" is a 46 bed Adult Acute Inpatient Unit designed to provide a high level of flexibility in the use of acute beds.

    There are a number of sensory & comfort rooms with multiple lounges, relaxation and programme spaces for service users.

    He Puna Waiora has recently achieved Silver status in the Patient Whanau Centered Care Standards'.

    We have an exciting and rewarding role in this facility where you will enjoy practising Nursing with a holistic approach, relish new innovative ways of treating and caring for service users and working proactively to reduce the need for seclusion and restraint.

    We are looking for a Registered Mental Health Nurse, who :

  • Is pro-active by constantly striving for a positive outcome for service users
  • Naturally looks outside the square when it comes to service users
  • Who is enthusiastic, flexible, driven and are ready to make a difference
  • Has experience in mental health with a current Annual Practising Certificate
