  • With 3-5 years' experience as a commercial / corporate lawyer, join our in-house legal team, supporting the business with interesting work in commercial law.

    With responsibility for the delivery of legal services to a diverse range of internal stakeholders across Deloitte, there will be no typical day! You will work across a wide portfolio of matters including those relating to the provision of audit, consulting, financial, tax, accounting and risk advisory services across a broad range of industries.

    Your role will have a dual focus, you’ll provide advice on a wide variety of matters important to the operation of the firm and lead the review and negotiation of contracts for engagements.

    About the team The Legal & Regulatory team provides advice to Deloitte in New Zealand. It is a high performing and respected team.

    Enough about us, let’s talk about you. You will be a curious and enthusiastic lawyer with around 3 5 years’ + PQE in commercial / corporate law, gained at a major law firm.

    You may also have great in-house experience already. This role is perfect for a self-starter keen to support an area at the cutting edge of innovation.

    You are someone with :

  • A keen interest in learning new skills, taking ownership of matters and developing a portfolio of legal services within the Legal Team.
  • End to end contracting skills in commercial law including supply and services agreements, MSAs, statements of work and subcontracts.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to handle a high-volume of matters, across all areas of the firm.
  • Ability to adapt to a growing business at an exciting time where service offerings are being regularly reviewed to meet changing needs.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of an energetic, collaborative team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Current New Zealand practising certificate (or the ability to get one).
