Workday’s Planning Business Unit is looking for a System Infrastructure Engineer with experience in Network Operations. As a System Infrastructure Engineer, NOC, you will be supporting Workday Adaptive Planning cloud environment.
You will support building the infrastructure, tools, and services delivering next generation cloud solutions. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.
In this position, you will be responding to system and environment alerts. You will be leveraging runbooks to resolve production incidents and issues.
Create and respond to production monitors : triage, troubleshoot and resolution
Create, maintain, and automate operational runbooks
Build automation for monitoring response and other production tools
Support request for customer support tickets - Internally facing
Support for both Linux and Windows systems (basic system support)
Maintain production SLAs related to incident response
Document and participate in RCA meetings
Participate in on-call rotation - 24 / 7x365 (On call monitoring response : 1 week primary, 1 week secondary, 2 weeks off)
Note : This role includes a rotational weekend shift. While it is not possible to be definitive, as it depends on business needs, the maximum frequency we would expect is one week in four
Skills & Qualifications :
3+ / 5+ years of experience in Linux System Administration
Strong Linux scripting skills : Bash, Perl, Python
Experience in ticketing systems - Jira, Zendesk, Remedy, Track-IT
Experience with AWS in an enterprise environment
Experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Icinga, Prometheus, Grafana, InfluxDB
Experience in production configuration tools : Chef / Jenkins / Terraform / Puppet
Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent
