About the Opportunity : Graduate Power System Engineer (Auckland)Jacobs' Energy Networks & Power team is geared towards providing a more integrated approach offering end-to-end service to support our clients in energy networks, thermal generation, renewable generation and storage solutions space.
We are helping our clients meet the challenges in providing stable base load supply, replacing conventional thermal power plants with renewable energy and developing demand side management strategies.
An exciting opportunity exists for a Graduate Electrical Engineer interested in Power Systems to join our Future Power Solutions team based in Auckland.
Your role will include : Power system planning and analysisAssessment of large scale grid connected renewable generationExposure to analytical techniques to solve grid congestion, stability and reliability issues in the National electricity market (East Coast of Australia), Wholesale Energy Market (Western Australia) and the New Zealand energy marketIndustrial power system analysis including but bit limited to arc flash, protection coordination, transient stability and steady state assessmentReport writing and presenting analytical outcome to clientsAbout YouAt Jacobs we value people.
