  • About The Role

    This role sits across our ANZ Payments Platforms Internationally and Domestically with a path in to a partnership with our Australian counterparts.

    The PSSRE (Payments Systems Site Reliability Engineering) Squad will work cohesively as an autonomous unit, but also collaboratively with the already existing independent build and run squads operating at ANZ.

    The primary focus and purpose of the role will be to ensure that business critical systems are maintained and developed to an agreed high standard replicating the high quality of technologies and skillsets that will be available throughout this squad.

    In addition, it is imperative to our customers that our strong standards are maintained and no compromise is given with regards to data integrity and security.

    To ensure ANZ stay ahead of the curve, it is essential that this role is always moving forward and embracing a Continuous Integration Continuous Development pipeline and mind-set always striving to operate at the penultimate level whilst adopting new, exciting and potentially challenging methodologies.

    In this role you will :

  • Have primary responsibility to operate in the Payments SRE Squad with an initial focus of maintaining and upgrading Networks Infrastructure
  • Join a collaborative DevOps environment with a focus on continuous improvement and empowering others.
  • Be passionate about making change in the SRE environment and have a approachable personality to engage with stakeholders at varying levels
  • Operate cohesively with our Australian equivalents to ensure that both NZ and AU systems are maintained effectively and efficiently

    To grow and be successful in this role, you will bring the following :

  • Experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or have a full understanding of stack development and maintenance essentially from a DevOps background
  • Have a strong understanding of the principles of which DevOps and SRE in particular revolve
  • You will have specialised skills in the following : Proven experience in software engineering, security practices and standards around designing, coding, testing and refactoringExperience in on-boarding applications on to Splunk that involves different ingestion patterns, e.
  • g. log ingestion, DB query, syslogWell versed with Splunk Dashboards and key knowledge on Splunk Indexer, forwarder, file transfer, field extractor would be an added advantageAdopts a vision and plan for application level solution design and architecture for the platformHands on experience with APM tools.

    e.g. New Relic, DynaTrace and Integration with Service NowStrong programming skills in Java, Python scripting, Puppet and Regex expressions for custom automationHands on knowledge on Elastic Search, Machine Learning and data analytics will be an added advantage

  • Strong Troubleshooting Skills and ability to work autonomously or in a team environment
  • Experience with CI / CD
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills being able to communicate at all levels.
