About the Role

We have a great opportunity for aself-starter to join our friendly team to coordinate the compliance functionsof the business in the Otago region.

In this role you will work with theregional manager and the operations teams from six locations around Otagoensuring that HSEQ systems, training and reporting is carried out and used toproactively drive safe and quality outcomes for the range of customers weserve.

Your key responsibilities willinclude :

  • Maintain current and effective records inaccordance with HSEQ Management Systems and Legislative requirements.
  • Develop, review and maintain SOP’s and WorkInstructions and JSEA’S where necessary.
  • Collection, analysis and reporting of allstatistics relating to HSEQ as required.
  • Investigate hazards, incidents or unsafe acts asdirected.
  • Act as first point of contact for site andoperational managers for claims and liaise with HSEQ department regardingclaims on behalf of the business.
  • Develop and maintain processes in which theprogress of incident reports and corrective actions are tracked, reported andfollowed up and finalised.
  • Develop / coordinate and implement audit actionplans and monitor their progress.
  • Participate in continuous improvement or qualityinitiatives as authorised by the Business Unit Manager.
  • Organise / coordinate required HSEQ training,both internal and external for all employees as required.
  • To be successful in this roleyou need to have :

  • Working knowledge of HSEQ legislation andregulations.
  • Cert 4 Training and Workplace Assessment orequivalent experience.
  • Excellent presentation / training skills.
  • Previous experience of HSEQ management systemsand their maintenance.
  • OHS Diploma or equivalent practical experience(preferable).
  • Experience in investigations management.
  • High attention to detail, strong verbalcommunication skills and good understanding of operating procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills both oral andwritten.
  • Ability to analyse and problem solve at a highlevel.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
  • Excellent time management and organisationalskills.
