About the role

Reporting to the Senior Performance Engineer, this position is responsible for technical investigations to identify and help the assessment of asset risks.

In order to be successful in this, you will use asset data, including performance, material state and maintenance data to provide recommendations to mitigate identified asset risks and optimise maintenance activities.

Key responsibilities will include :

  • To provide analysis of asset performance to determine asset risk. This encompasses accurate failure modes and effects analysis as well as consideration of system failure likelihood and consequence to determine risk
  • Use relevant data and processes to provide analysis of the asset performance and material state
  • Draw logical conclusions and provide high quality recommendations to mitigate asset risks. Record investigation findings in the AM technical investigation report template.
  • About you

    You will have a relevant Engineering Degree or equivalent and have sound analytical and report writing skills (2 years + experience).

    Ideally you will have previous asset management experience and knowledge of machinery condition monitoring, maintenance and repair.

    The work is primarily with the RNZN and any experience or knowledge working in this area will be highly regarded.
