The role
Our team is growing and we are currently seeking a Senior Biodiversity Advisor to lead our priority habitats work.
This position, ideally based in Marton or Kairanga is focused on leading our priority habitats programme. The programme’s goal is to maintain or restore the full range of the Manawatū / Whanganui region’s indigenous ecosystems to a healthy and functioning state.
As a senior member of a high performing team, you will be responsible for leading the assessment, protection and monitoring of priority biodiversity habitats while keeping the budgets on track for this programme.

This permanent position will provide a mix of office and field based work throughout the region, working in a wide variety of ecosystems.
Relevant training and previous experience working in ecological restoration is essential.
A full drivers’ licence is essential and experience with four wheel drive vehicles and the use of GIS based data systems is preferred.
