About the role
We are on the lookout for an Infrastructure Engineer who is passionate about the growing digital world and can support Metlifecare with a number of IT and Telephony projects as we transition away from an on-premise infrastructure to Azure Cloud.
Based in our support office located in Newmarket you will report to our IT Operations Manager who will give you the autonomy to identify, recommend and implement enhancements in our IT and telephony systems.

Some of the great things you will be doin g :
Maintain smooth and efficient running of IT and telephone system (including hardware and software) ensuring projects are successfully managed to their conclusion on time and within budget
Manage the deployment, maintenance, and upgrade paths of the infrastructure at villages, including core networking, telephony, nurse call solutions, access control, CCTV and audio visual
Assist the wider IT team in troubleshooting and investigations ensuring impact on business continuity is minimised
Work closely with the Cloud Architect and Cloud Platform team to assist with preparing on premise infrastructure for migrations to Azure
Identify, deploy, and maintain appropriate connectivity options for all key sites, support office and villages monitoring system performance, configuration, maintenance, and repair
About you
Proven experience managing IT infrastructure for a minimum of 5 years
Strong understanding of fundamental computer architecture, networking, telephony, virtualisation, storage and operating system concepts
Demonstratable experience of organising a busy and varied workload requiring self-motivation and excellent time management skills
Previous experience working as an Infrastructure Engineer, particularly with networking equipment core networking, servers and telephony
Highly advantageous if you have had expeirnece with nurse call solutions, access control, CCTV and audio visuals
