Job Description

Allocated to a squad, you will work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver outcomes for each squad.

In your role you will help in the delivery of high quality software products & solutions within our engineering delivery teams, your responsibilities may include :

Responsible for building beautiful, elegant, clean and secure software products & services that meet business objectives and create amazing best in class’ customer experiences.

Leading our product development practice in modernising, extending and maintaining our mobile application platforms.

Keeping abrrest of new technologies, contributing to improving our engineering practice and train / mentor fellow peers.

About You :

  • We’re looking for an experienced Native Android developer with Kotlin & Java skills. You’ll bring the following skill set to the role :
  • 4 years+ experience
  • Kotlin & Java experience
  • Android Studio IDE
  • Experience working with UX designers.
  • Experience working with other mobile developers (Eg. iOS)
  • Experience working with RESTful web services and consuming and handling JSON responses
  • Android unit testing
  • RxJava and / or Coroutines
  • Local Caching techniques, (Eg. Room)
  • Solid working knowledge of common design patterns (eg. MVP / MVVM) and when / how to use them.
  • Competent in architecting, structuring, and building efficient mobile apps
  • Ability to modularize features and create libraries of android code to promote code reusability
  • Ability to author technical documentation that can be easily understood by others in the development team
  • Nice to have :

  • Continuous integration build and delivery BitBucket / Gradle / Jenkins / Firebase Distribution / Google Playstore deployments
  • Experience in other languages such as C#, Javascript, Swift.
  • DI framework experience, eg. Dagger and / or Hilt
  • Automated UI testing experience (eg. Espresso)
  • Experience debugging and manipulating networking traffic (Eg. Charles Proxy / Fiddler)
  • Coroutines Experience
