They will be responsible for building and leading a team to execute the delivery of up to $375m of new build construction project as part of Metlifecare's portfolio regeneration programme.

They will be required to ensure individual projects are delivered consistently to specified timelines, within budget and quality standards, meeting design criteria and guaranteeing financial outcomes meet approval levels and feasibility thresholds.

You'll be reporting to our Head of Delivery and work along a superb team of professionals that make things happen and have fun along the way.

Some of the great things you will be doing : Building and managing a team Drive and deliver key development activity outcomes on projects.

Planning of the site logistics, infrastructure upgrades and staging of the construction projects within existing village environments.

Assist the team with management of tender, tender evaluation and contractor selection process. Contract administration, management of project financials, including spend against contingency budget and out-turn project costs.

Manage project risks through proactive identification and mitigation - no surprises approach Ensure construction aligns with Metlifecare design standards and documentation and defects are dealt with in a timely manner Assist and lead in the implementation of innovative construction methodologies to ensure continuous improvement in the way we deliver our projects.

Support to secure all required building consents and statutory approvals Communication and coordination with internal Metlifecare teams, including Sales, Village Management, Asset Management and Clinical teams.

About you Seasoned and experienced project manager with residential or commercial construction experience, and people leadership skills.

Operational and quality management of processes; drives for quality improvements and suggesting solutions to challenges while managing risk to minimize exposure Account management of stakeholders to get the right outcome Construction contract management as Engineer Rep under NZS3910 and as Client Rep under NZS3915 & 3916 Detailed understanding of regulatory framework around project development Good understanding and knowledge of Statutory process and regulations including RMA, NZ Building Act and NZ Building code Requirement.
