Kia ora Snowsports international community! With the recent news of New Zealand's borders likely to re-open from end of April 2022 to non-NZ residents / citizens we are delighted to welcome applications from experienced instructors, trainers and performance coaches for our 2022 Snowsports team.
Our winter season runs from mid-June through mid-October.
Our Snowsports crew are integral to the experiences our guests have while at Coronet Peak and The Remarkables. Over these past 2 pandemic years New Zealanders have come out en masse’ to ski and ride as their winter sport.
It has been great to see so many Kiwis back in the mountains progressing their skiing and riding. As the borders start to open we look forward to welcoming back our Australian guests as well as those from further offshore.
We are looking for some very special people to join our 2022 Coronet Peak / The Remarkables Snowsports One Team’. Over the past two years we have transformed our Snowsports team, our lesson experiences, operational structure, and overall approach to customer experience.
We are on a digital transformation journey in Snowsports, similar to the rest of the world. Our suite of Performance Experiences is taking off and we are also looking to increase our team of Level 4 Instructors / Trainers / Performance Coaches
Our team all have the privilege and responsibility of making the experiences for our Snowsports guests unforgettable and leaving them wanting more.

As a member of our Queenstown Snowsports One Team (CP / RE) you’ll be
Involved in group and private lessons, multi-day programmes and performance workshops (relevant to your experience) with a consistent focus on delivering high value, high quality experiences.
Progressing guests using NZSIA / SBINZ movement development guidelines. A key focus for all our lessons and programmes is Our guests will have way more fun with us than without us! ’ To achieve this our new guest ability levels focus on speed, terrain preference, competence and confidence rather than filtering guests by mechanics and skills alone.
Our new all-day group lesson experiences are focused on experiencing more fun, progress and adventure through the day.
Adaptable to an ever-changing environment. No day is ever the same in New Zealand!
Flexible and adaptable to fit in with whatever is asked by Heads of Snowsports or Team Leaders
Be a part of our wider mountain whanau, as required helping move guests through rentals, assisting with Snowsports check-ins on snow, answering queries for guests arriving to mountain and any off snow operational duties as required.
You are driven and motivated towards continuous development of your skiing and riding, supporting and engaging in daily training opportunities.
You’ll appreciate and understand hours of work are subject to the weather, conditions and business levels. Hours of work cannot be guaranteed however through our advanced scheduling and instructor management system, we endeavour to maximise your days.
Skills and Qualifications
A member of a national instructor organisation (NZSIA, PSIA, BASI, APSI, CSIA etc) with a current active membership
ISIA or equivalent Level 3, 4, Trainer or Examiner Level. We will consider experienced Level 2 instructors who meet requirements for NZ Essential Skills work visas.
Previous instructing and coaching experience is essential with 3 seasons of teaching or coaching experience as a minimum for consideration of employer-sponsored visas.
Additional qualifications and experience outside your main sport / discipline qualification - Freestyle, Freeride, Race, Adaptive, Kids Cert, Alpine or Freeride athlete or coaching experience - is a huge advantage.
