At the start of the program, you will join a class of hundreds of analysts at a global New York induction summit for the initial training where you will build your peer network and meet our senior leaders.

There will also be opportunities to convene the group during and at the end of the program, providing you with the greatest level of global exposure.

Over the two-year duration of the program, successful candidates will work in a dynamic environment combining formal and experience-based training alongside meaningful and rewarding work experience.

Then, guided by experienced professionals, they will put the skills they learn into practice in a supportive corporate environment.

Your Future TeamYou will be a member of the Portfolio Solutions team at AIG New Zealand. It is a diverse team of 8 based in Auckland.

Most importantly, successful candidates will need to demonstrate an interest in the insurance industry, a drive to succeed in the program as well as in developing professional skills in a corporate environment.

Your RoleOver the course of the program, you will have an opportunity to get exposure to the following functions in Portfolio Solutions on a rotational basis : Underwriting Operationsoperational support including but not limited to ongoing support activities for our SME Package team.

  • you will also be exposed to any Portfolio Solutions projects as well as operational risk and compliance tasks.Front-line underwriting - SMEyou will participate in underwriting activities including new business assessment, renewal management and mid-term adjustments both directly and via AIG’s e-commerce electronic trading platform;
  • you will also be invited to participate in broker meetings to learn how AIG promotes and discusses its products and servicesTechnical & Product Developmentyou will be introduced to aspects of technical underwriting and the underwriting manuals and underwriting guidelines used to prescribe AIG’s risk selection and underwriting approachyou will also spend some time learning about the Portfolio Solutions product development function and may participate in product research & development function.

    Portfolio analytics and portfolio managementyou will be introduced to the portfolio and performance management framework employed within Portfolio SolutionsJob RequirementsProfessional / technical skills and experiencePreferably will have graduated by July 2020 with a degree in ANY major (recent graduates with up to 1.

    5 years of experience will also be considered);It is mandatory to hold a legal right to work in New Zealand at the time of your application.
