This is a fantastic opportunity for a hungry Sales Manager based in Christchurch, to prove they’ve got what it takes to join NZ’s Largest Automotive Parts Distributor, focusing on the Trade side of our business.

Not only will you be a fantastic Sales Person yourself with a hunger for success, but also a natural leader with the ability to coach and develop a team of Sales Representatives.

You’ll dazzle with your personality and inspire with your results, motivating your team to execute the Area and National Trade strategies to maximize revenue, sales, market share and profit performance.

Although this is a highly autonomous role, you will be a strong team player working closely with the Area Trade Manager and GM of Sales & Operations, providing the link between Merchandising, Marketing and the Trade network.

If you happen to have experience in the automotive industry or spend all weekend tinkering with your car, then that’s fantastic! However, previous automotive experience isn’t essential, your passion however is!

What will you achieve in this role?

Lead, coach and support a successful team of Sales Reps, building and managing strong Trade client relationships.

Work alongside the wider Operations team to develop and implement the Trade sales strategic plan to maximise revenue, sales, market share and profitability.

Identify areas of opportunity with key clients and develop tactical sales activities for the region

Play the integral link between Merchandise, Marketing and Operations to deliver Trade promotional activities

A few km’s on the clock, please bear in mind there will be travel involved

What will you bring to the role?

Proven success in a Senior Sales Manager position

A passion and enthusiasm for driving sales and developing a successful team

Excellent commercial and financial acumen

A willingness to travel nationally on a regular basis and work flexible hours

A valid Full Driver’s License
