Physiotherapist Early Discharge Rehabilitation Service
We are a dynamic and evolving community interdisciplinary team within Older People’s Health based at Dunedin Hospital. You'll work alongside other senior physiotherapists, occupational therapists, rehab assistants and wider team members in planning and providing patient centred rehabilitation to our community.
About the opportunity
You'll have the opportunity to develop your knowledge and expertise in rehabilitation with medical, orthopaedic, and neurological conditions.
You will also have the opportunity to support, teach and upskill students.
We take pride in supporting our staff to grow and we enable ongoing professional development including regular team in-services, senior staff mentoring and peer review, a comprehensive on-call competency training framework, and access to course and conference funding.
We work closely with the University of Otago’s School of Physiotherapy and support student education throughout clinical placements.
Our team is also developing and implementing simulation training resources and programmes to enhance educational opportunities for our staff and students.
Ideally you will bring to us a minimum of 2 years physiotherapy experience that preferably includes working in a community setting with patients with stroke and other neurological conditions.
