The Job

As a result of an internal promotion within our team, we are looking for a Programme Delivery Manager to support and oversee our water projects, throughout the entire project lifecycle, and be heavily involved with programme level initiatives.

This role has equal focus on team management and technical inputs and includes the following :

  • Manage and provide ECI inputs into the feasibility stage of new projects at both programme level and for individual allocated projects
  • Contribute to value engineering initiatives to establish optimal design and construction outcomes for water and wastewater projects
  • Coordinate inputs into business case cost assessments
  • Ensure all costs are tracked and charged against the correct cost centre and recovered from the client in accordance with the EMA
  • Key to your success will be your ability to communicate each project vision and strategy clearly with delivery teams for excellent construction delivery, ensuring business objectives are met and that we are achieving excellent KPIs.

    With your solutions approach, you provide trouble shooting on required projects, and provide rigour around tender methodology and pricing.

    You will have significant experience in a senior role and be known for a well connected network within the industry.

    What we need from you

    Our successful candidate will possess the following skills and attributes :

  • 15 years plus water and / or heavy civil project experience
  • Proven success running multiple projects with a financially successful conclusion and with a diverse range clients
  • Be well versed at tracking and controlling operational and financial performance on projects
  • Be experienced with forward work continuity and forecasting.
  • Must have demonstrated experience working on the ECI delivery model with demonstrated ability with project governance.
  • Demonstrated effective leadership and communication skills
  • High stakeholder engagement and involvement
  • Strong focus on health and safety
  • Civil engineering degree
  • High computer literacy
  • Key to this role will be your passion and commitment to be part of the strategic development and growth of the Water Sector in NZ.
