We are looking for a Senior Account Manager with Technical Sales experience in BMS & HVAC solutions to build strong relations with our customers in the Public / Government to cross and up sell Honeywell services.

This role is Auckland based and has a national scope, some travel may be required.

Position Summary

You will act as a business partner to these accounts and get to know the customer’s business, drivers, and organization, and a deep understanding of the value that Honeywell Building Services (HBS) brings to the customer to drive to real business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Relationships : Develop and sustain long term customer relationships; serving as an ambassador to our customers, trusted advisor, and advocate;
  • Sales Process : Leads the day to day and strategic : maintaining a balanced approach to outstanding customer service and strategic account planning;
  • Identifies new sales opportunities and focuses on providing consultative support by building value propositions for solutions into the account;
  • Customers : Engage technical buyers, economic buyers, and relationship buyers; engage customers at all levels in an organization including executive-level decision-makers;
  • People Management : Leverages resources to address customers’ drivers and initiatives in a consultative manner; Guides and brings to bear management and executive sponsor interactions with the customer;
  • Results : Profitable growth in the form of new opportunities within existing accounts; Orders and margin above-set quota in support of Annual Operating Plan.
  • You must have

  • In-depth industry and market knowledge
  • An understanding of Building Systems
  • Exposure to Public / Government or Medical / Health space
  • Proven experience in an account management role within a similar industry
  • An ability to influence people, shape processes, and drive the business
  • Experience working with CMS and Salesforce.
  • Appropriate security clearances need to be obtained for this role to gain access to correctional centres and other security requirements.
