    Our team provides a wide and complex set of ICT solutions supporting our Business and Clinical teams based in Canterbury and for other nationwide District Health Boards.

    You will be part of a team of highly motivated individuals who work hard to find solutions and improve processes around the use of applications that clinicians are becoming increasingly dependent on.

    The Role : Where you fit in

    The ISG Service Desk is the first point of contact for all ISG requests for service and incident reporting. They provide support to the entire CDHB organisation, external customers, regional and national requestors.

    The Service Desk Support Technician provides an important service to the CDHB employees and is the face and voice of Information Services providing technical assistance and support for various hardware products and system / application software.

    Not only will you have previous experience delivering exceptional Customer Service while helping users to understand the technical jargon it would be ideal to have practical experience in a Technical Service Desk or demonstrate you are actively training toward this type of role.

    To be successful in this role you will possess :

  • Experience in Service Desk or desktop support role in a corporate environment
  • An understanding of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) and its place in service management
  • Proven ability to work happily in a busy environment
  • The successful applicant will be a real people person, proactive, able to demonstrate initiative and empathy as second-nature, and not be fazed by problems.

    You will be a team player with can do attitude, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing quality customer service.
