As Manager, you will be responsible for the management and direction of all bar and kitchen operations. We are looking for a highly professional, well-rounded Manager who will be hands-on and willing to lead by example! Excellent knowledge of Beverage, Food and all administrative duties is essential.

Key responsibilities include :
Delivery of an excellent membership experience
Strong analytical / financial skills (XERO)
Lead a dedicated team of staff
Promote & market Mount Ocean Sports Club
Ensure Club is compliant with all legislative obligations
Ensuring the club meets its aims and goals, and its obligations, as outlined in its constitution
Making sure there are people and resources available to achieve these aims and goals
Managing any potential risks to the club
Developing and implementing policies that achieve its aims and goals
Involving everyone in the club with achieving its aims and goals
Reporting, monthly to a Board of Director and annual AGM
Ensuring the long term well-being of the club, both financially and organisationally
Monitoring and evaluating the club's activities for quality and relevance
Oversee the Management and Administration of operations to produce an exceptional guest and employee experience
Plan, develop, lead and manage all operations to achieve budgets, profits, staff engagement and employee targets
Review, Monitor, Evaluate and Report on business performance in accordance with set objectives
Identify and address opportunities and trends which would enhance the existing business offering, with an understanding of local marketing
Manage monthly / annual business results, financial plans and budgets, setting and achieving profit targets and dedicated cost control measures whilst establishing and meeting financial performance targets for revenue and expenditure
Plan for and control all ongoing Maintenance and Refurbishment programmes ensuring the desired level of quality is maintained
Control all OHS and operational safety management programmes.
Complete all HR responsibilities
Review and implementation of Health and Safety Policies
Key Attributes include :
Ability to effectively manage staff and contractors
Ability to work with a Board of Directors
Hold a General or Club Manager licence
Experience in the running / overseeing of a bar and restaurant
A proven history of leading and developing teams
Budget, menu, rostering and bar compliance experience and knowledge
Great chat, and a disposition for remembering names and orders to look after our faithful regulars
An uncompromising attitude towards being better and being the best
The energy to give the best on each shift you work
The ability to be a team player working with other Managers and leaders in our group
Flexibility in rosters, working morning, close shifts & weekends
Outstanding team, customer relations and communication skills with the ability to relate to and manage employees and guests from a wide range of backgrounds
Relevant experience in Tourism / Resort Management
Strong financial and strategic management skills with a focus on driving profitability and growth
Excellent skills in Communication and Conflict Resolution
Ability to effectively manage conflicting priorities
Ability to develop an operational budget and make sound decisions to ensure the venue operates efficiently
