    We are looking for an amazing Centre Manager to cover a parental leave position for 12 months working full time hours (40hours per week).

    We are a multicultural centre and take pride in celebrating a range of cultural events. We support our children and their families by supporting the use of their native language and providing a personalised curriculum to adopt their aspirations.

  • This position involves supporting and leading a high functional team, communicating with families, and ensuring that BestStart Newton operates as a high-performing centre based on quality learning and genuine interactions between staff, children, and their families.

    As our Centre Manager you will role-model excellent leadership qualities, inspiring and challenging a high performing team to achieve the best learning outcomes for themselves and children in our care.

    Alongside this, you will be responsible for meeting administrative expectations, compliance requirements and striving to achieve financial performance targets.

    As our successful Centre Manager, you will have :

  • A passion for building meaningful relationships with tamariki and their families.
  • Experience in centre marketing and converting enquiries.
  • A strong belief in supporting staff morale and a positive outlook.
  • A strong understanding of pedagogical strategies, to be a fountain of knowledge to others.
  • Committed to bi-cultural practices and Te Tiriti O Waitangi
  • An ability to move in strategic direction
  • Bachelor / Diploma of Education Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current full Certification.
