The role

is responsible for creating and managing an optimised works planning, scheduling, and programming capability that enables transparency, efficiency, and confidence of delivery for our stakeholders and supports the maintenance and renewal programme within the Liveable Street's delivery of the Central East Road Corridor Maintenance Contract for Auckland Transport.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Create and manage an optimized works planning, scheduling and programming that enables transparent and efficient delivery of both maintenance and renewal physical works programme.
  • Develop, manage, track and report against an integrated optimized rolling plan of works
  • Develop strategies for programmes of work including the delivery of a stable programme of work as a single source of truth, integrated across CAPEX and OPEX tasks
  • Leadership of the planning, management, reporting and support for delivery of programmes of work.
  • Ensure effective optimisation and prioritization of program of works on a rolling basis, balancing importance, criticality, and deliverability from a field perspective.
  • Liaise with the client and actively seek and resolve potential disruptions to the programme as a result of third party works
  • Ensure integrated schedules of work are available and agreed with internal delivery departments,
  • Ensure the development and oversight of delivery strategies of programmes of work to ensure asset management strategy benefits are obtained and the programmes can be delivered efficiently and effectively.
  • Prepare asset data of completed renewal work for RAMM updates.
  • Ensure RAMM dispatches for maintenance and renewal work are consistent with the programme.
  • Work effectively with wider HEB teams to utilise specialist skills and knowledge available across the company
  • Represent HEB in a professional and knowledgeable manner to when interacting with clients, engineers and key stakeholders
  • About you :

  • 5+ years of experience as a Civil Engineer
  • Experience in road construction or maintenance contracts preferable
  • Proven success in the planning aspects of a delivery programme in a large and complex environment, preferably gained through experience from multiple different organisations or projects
  • Strong relationship building and communication skills
  • Ability to plan tasks efficiently, including allocation of plant and labour resources and materials
  • A Civil Engineering qualification is essential
  • Class 1 license is essential
  • Experience using RAMM is advantageous
