Measles Campaign Coordinator - Vaccine Preventable Diseases

  • The Opportunity

    The Purpose of this role is to coordinate, promote, develop, monitor and evaluate health outcomes for the SDHB Measles re-start campaign in line with the Measles Immunisation campaign plan.

    The goal of the campaign is to equitably improve measles immunity for all those eligible in the Southern communities as part of a National Measles campaign program.

    This role will ensure that the Measles re-start campaign is completed within expected timeframes and ensure that all relevant stakeholders are engaged kept up to date and informed.

    The role will contribute to the coordination promotion, monitoring and evaluation of outcomes and will report on these to the respective managers in a timely fashion.

    You will need to enjoy being part of a team that works together as well as working independently to achieve goals. Naturally, you will be a glass half-full person, an adept problem solver and able to think outside the square.

    Other key skills / knowledge for this position include :

  • Experience in delivering adult education
  • The ability to review and develop policies and guidelines
  • Self-motivation, the ability to prioritise time and resources
  • Understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi, Whānau Ora and implications in clinical practice
  • Computer literacy (including using Microsoft office products and MS team) and experienced in using databases and patient management systems
  • The ability to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to support, influence and motivate others.
  • The ability to implement quality improvement practices along with knowledge of quality improvement methodology and audit is desirable
