  • To assist with commercial inspections, verifying and surveying in the Auckland area (and potentially other areas of New Zealand) where the Agricultural Services Sector operates, always ensuring that all tasks undertaken are performed in a truly professional manner so that the integrity of SGS is not compromised in any way.
  • Ensure that all outwork undertaken is performed in an effective and timely manner and the corresponding administration is clear, concise and accurate.
  • Actively participate in all training programmes / assessments as necessary to your position.
  • Comply with any reporting functions specific to the position, as directed or required.
  • Achieve the highest levels of customer service to maintain and grow the commercial and statutory services as well as the general customer base.
  • Ensure all activities are carried out with regard and recognition of Health and Safety requirements and personal safety.
  • Undertake all other work requests relevant to your experience and / or qualifications as requested.
  • Always act with integrity, freedom from influence and always in the best interests of SGS.
  • Required to participate in after hours / weekend certificate verification and inspection roster.

    Required Skills

    Agricultural inspections experience or a degree in horticulture or a related discipline advantageous

    Ability to read, understand and put into practice all quality assurance procedures necessary to complete assigned tasks in the required time and manner

    Demonstrated excellence in communication, both verbal and written

    Competent numeracy and literacy skills

    Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills

    Proficient report writing and computer skills including MS Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as simple database management

    Current and unrestricted New Zealand drivers license and the ability to operate a manual vehicle
