About the role
The Procurement Lead will be responsible for working collaboratively with stakeholders and supporting the management of supply performance within specific categories of spend and risk to ensure optimal business outcomes for the Link Alliance.
A key component of this role is leading tender activities to contract execution, according to Link Alliance management plans, while achieving 100% compliance with Procurement Policies and Procedures.
Key responsibilities include :
Utilise supply knowledge of the specific category spend to provide support, guidance and expert advice to stakeholders with a view to shaping demand requirements to achieve organisational savings, manage risk and / or introduce improved performance & innovation.
Develop and implement strategies to manage procurement risk, integrate organisational policies into procurement practice, and measure and analyse corporate spend and savings data in specific categories of spend
Work closely with technical, design and programme teams to develop tender packages and evaluate submissions
Manage strategic subcontract relationships with subcontractors
Support monthly reporting on subcontract milestones achievement
Identify risks and the associated management of those risks
About You :
Minimum of 5 years’ practical experience in major turn key infrastructure projects preferred
Relevant professional / tertiary qualification (Engineering or Quantity Survey preferred)
Experience working in a complex, collaborative business environment
Prior experience working for a business managing multiple government tender processes where you will have had 5+ tenders running at the same time.
Experience working with technical specialists, and be able to translate their requirements in to competitive commercial terms.
