Fulltime permanent roleBased in Wellington Digital Experience Team Business BankingWhen you join us at Westpac New Zealand you ll become part of one team striving to reach our vision to be one of the world s great companies helping our customers communities and people to prosper and grow Our Customer Experience and Design Chapter examines every inch of the services journeys and interactions between Westpac and our customers This area is responsible for facilitating gathering and the distilling of information to inform customercentred design including researching analysing designing and optimising processes to deliver value for our customers and Westpac How will you help User experience UX is at the forefront of how we create intuitive innovative and beautiful products that our customers love We strive to learn and understand our customers needs behaviors and emotions to yield insights that inform product strategy and guide the design of the digital experiences we create Were looking for an experienced and passionate User Experience Designer to join our Digital Experience team You ll be responsible for helping shape and evolve the user experience for Business Banking Youll use data research insight and empathy to understand customer problems Youll take concepts from sketches and postit notes all the way through to production Youll work with other customer research user experience and digital designers to simplify interactions and create experiences our customers love We re looking for someone who can Proactively use customer feedback insights and analytics to define the user experience and help shape product specificationsResearch plan and create design artefacts e g user flows and wireframes customer journeys interactive prototypes sitemaps information architecture Plan and lead user research and usability sessions for Business BankingLead creative and holistic thinking across diverse product releases platforms and devices Communicate complex interaction concepts clearly and persuasively to different audiences and varying levels of the organisationBuild strong relationships and operating rhythms with leaders inside and outside the core business team inorder to efficiently implement user experiences that are cohesive inclusive and wellinformed You will have A Bachelor s degree or equivalent in design humancomputer interaction information science or equivalent practical experience5 years in similar roles with demonstrated handson experience in User Experience DesignStrong interaction design skills and UI experienceExcellent communication skills including written communicationGood understanding of Web Accessibility GuidelinesKnowledge about user experience and design workflow utilising tools such as Sketch Adobe Creative Suite or comparable tools prototyping collaboration tools such as Invision or AtomicIdeally you ll have experience gained in large complex organisationsA portfolio or samples and or case studies of work demonstrating relevant experienceWe can offer you As well as immersing yourself in a fantastic culture youll be offered some of the best banking wealth and insurance benefits in the market gain access to a suite of online learning modules and career planning tools to grow with us as well as our industryleading superannuation programme and fantastic staff banking package Next steps If this sounds like the perfect role for you please submit your Cover Letter CV and portfolio case studies through the link on this page
