  • The Materiel Management Analyst is an advisory and analytical professional who turns data into information; information into insight;
  • and insight into business decisions.

    You will bea custodian of NZDF inventory management policy and processes undertaking key activities that contribute to the delivery of logistics operational effectiveness along with training NZDF personnel in Inventory Management.

    This role works across both Devonport Naval Base and RNZAF Base Whenuapai.

    We are seeking a person with a proven ability to analyse issues and develop solutions using appropriate tools and techniques including data mining, predictive models and data visualisation.

    You will bring experience in managing and successfully implementing process and procedural changes within logistics, inventory management or supply chain.

    In addition to this you also have mid-level analysis experience from a service organisation, with the ability to deal with complex issues and to apply problem solving techniques.

    This role requires a lot of stakeholder engagement at Whenuapai, Ohakea and Devonport bases, consequently you will need to be an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills enabling you to build strong working relationships across a diverse range of people.

    This is largely an autonomous role so we are looking for a person who is self-managing and self-motivating however you will have a support network around you based in Devonport and Wellington.

    The ability to travel to these locations and work away from home is essential.

    In terms of technical skills you will need to be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and have excellent skills in the use of SAP products (Supply, Asset and Plant Maintenance) or similar systems.

    The NZDF Equipment Management Organisation will provide a single point of accountability for the through-life management of specified equipment across the Land, Air and Maritime environments thereby ensuring that all equipment receives consistent strategic logistic support whilst in service in NZDF.

    This organisation is accountable for the day to day delivery of through life Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) and management of equipment enabling NZDF to meet its business and operational objectives to the appropriate standards.

    Every hour of every day, 365 days of the year, the New Zealand Defence Force is contributing to the defence, security and well-being of Aotearoa / New Zealand.
