About the Role
As part of our preparations for endemic Covid-19 in the community we are seeking fit, motivated people to join our team as Health Service Assistants.
Work will be on our General Ward assisting the nursing team with a range of duties including : -
Or you may assisting with screening of visitors and patients at the hospital entrance. The work will involve rostered shift work.
We have several positions available. These positions are fixed term for up to one year. Please indicate on your application your preferred FTE hours.
The rostered hours are Monday to Sunday.
Ideally, but not essentially, you are an experienced Health Care Assistant and will be familiar with the activities assigned to you.
You will be providing support to the nursing staff to ensure an effective and efficient service. If you have high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, good organisational skills and a proven ability to carry out manual tasks, we would love to hear from you! It is also essential that you can communicate clearly and concisely and have a positive attitude towards work.
If you have previous experience working in health / disability settings or with the general public, this would be an advantage.
Lake Wakatipu set against the dramatic Southern Alps and Queenstown, renowned for adventure sports, is also a base for exploring the region’s vineyards and historic mining towns.
There’s bungy jumping off Kawarau Gorge suspension bridge and jet-boating on the Shotover and Dart rivers. In winter, there’s skiing on the slopes of the Remarkables and Coronet Peak.
