Our client has recently completed the development of a significant new state of the art production facility here in Christchurch.
This new investment is part of a growth strategy that is underpinned by strong disciplines around the analysis and management of the business performance and by continued investment to extend their reach in a competitive market sector.
The Finance Manager reports to the NZ General Manager but will also work closely with the Finance & Administration Manager for the parent company.
Based in Rolleston and supported by a small administration team this role will lead and manage the NZ finance functions, so while overseeing the transactional processing, the focus will be on providing timely and accurate management accounting and business performance reporting.
Other key areas of involvement will include the cost / margin analysis, budgeting & cash flow forecasting, tax compliance, continuous improvement of business processes, the year end audit and a broader range of finance and administration tasks.
We view this position as an ideal opportunity for candidates who have established themselves in senior accounting roles, but now want a role where they can be more involved operationally and so take that next step, but still with good scope for development.
Relevant accounting qualifications are important, but equally you will need to demonstrate proven experience in the areas of financial accounting, business analysis, reporting and general financial administration.
This technical competence needs to be balanced against personal qualities that should include a strong focus on quality, a positive and can do approach, along with a level of confidence in both leading the finance team and supporting the operations team with advice from the finance perspective.
Start date will be at the end of January 2022.
