ECE Teacher - Sturges Road Kindergarten
Auckland Kindergarten Association has a long history in New Zealand in the Early Childhood Education sector, having been established in 1908 with the opening of our kindergarten at Freemans Bay.
We now have 107 kindergartens and four KiNZ centres, supported by our shared services staff at our office in Queen Street, forming our organisation, with a total of just under 1000 staff.
Ours is a bicultural environment, where the learning framework of Te Whāriki underpins all we do, and where the good of our tamariki (children) and their whānau (family) sits at the very heart of our organisation.
At AKA, we provide a safe and enriching early childhood learning environment where children can develop as confident and competent learners.
Our kindergartens offer quality Early Childhood Education (ECE) that is inclusive of the diversity of children, parents and whānau that attend.
Our Auckland-wide network of kindergartens are magical places where young Aucklanders get the very best start to prepare for school and beyond - building the foundations for a lifetime of learning.
At Sturges Road Kindergarten, we value our whole learning community for their contribution, skills and knowledge. We believe in building strong relationships, encouraging whānau to be part of their child's learning journey and celebrating cultural diversity.
We are located next to Western Heights Primary School and are continually developing our shared partnership with the junior school.
Learning is life long and together we nurture our curiosity, imagination, creativity and unique ways of who we are, what we do and what we think.
