    The Team : What we do

    The Burwood Spinal Unit is one of two specialisedunits in New Zealand that provides acute, post-operative and rehabilitationcare for spinal injured patients.

    The Unit has 30 inpatient beds which includesfour transitional rehabilitation beds and we also provide an Outreach Service.

    The Role : Whereyou fit in

    In this role you will provide clinical leadership in nursing practice. Youwill guide and support staff with assessment and clinical decision making,acting as a resource both internally and externally on specialty issues.

    You will also co-ordinate professionaldevelopment of staff.

    Skills & Experience

  • You will be an experienced Registered Nurse with a current NZ practicing certificate this is a senior nursing role
  • You will be an advanced nursing practitioner with exceptional patient assessment skills
  • Enthusiastic, motivated, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage a wide variety of people, is paramount in this role
  • Ability to share and demonstrate specialist knowledge and skills
  • You will hold, or currently be working towards, Level 8 post graduate qualification
  • You will be nursing at expert PDRP level
  • Ability to develop nursing standards with experience in teaching, mentoring and coaching
