Auckland City, AucklandWe are seeking an experienced food technologist who is able to drive delivery of food innovation and quality compliance to support our growing company.
You will be responsible for delivering operational excellence by implementing quality assurance activities and initiatives across the entire range of Restaurant Brands ingredients and products.
The ideal candidate will need to have strong interpersonal skills as they will be establishing working relationships with suppliers and providing food technology support for supply chain management, operations and marketing for both new product development and non-
new product development projects.This role could be either a contract until the end of the year on a fixed term basis and could become permanent if you were looking for something long term.
We are looking for someone whom can start immediately for a handover with the current incumbent.What the role involves : Understanding of food and industry based NZ legislationKnowledge around food innovation with developing, improving and testing new products for all brands.
Assisting the operations team with resources regarding nutrition & allergens, training aids based on new products and process improvementsEnsuring quality compliance is maintained throughout our restaurants and suppliersConducting validation tests to ensure cooking cycles are meet with food safety regulationsPrepare and execute reports involved in supplier / distributor non-
conformance performanceSkills and Experience : A tertiary degree in Food Technology / ScienceMinimum 2-3 year Food Industry experience with knowledge of product development, processing and quality programs.
Ability to drive projectsAbility to interpret and utilize Marketing, Industry Information and product research to best advantage of Restaurant BrandsExcellent oral and written communication skills, able to read and understand work related material and can prepare concise reports that outline recommendation, justification and formalizing the outcome.
Strong organization, innovation and delivery skills, to be able to develop and evaluate new concepts, new products and improve established systems applying technical knowledge and testing standards.
