Want to be a part of our team?Job Profile Summary The MS Engineer (L4) is responsible for ensuring a managed service is provided to all clients, to ensure that their IT infrastructure and systems remain operational.
This is done through proactively managing, overseeing, monitoring, investigating and resolving escalated technical incidents and problems to ensure the restoration of these services to the clients.
The primary objective of this role is to proactively review all client requests or tickets and apply technical process knowledge to provide the clients with almost immediate resolution without breaching service level agreement (SLA).
The MS Engineer (L4) focuses on forth line support for escalated incidents and requests with a high level of complexity.
Ensures contracted Managed Services outcomes are delivered to the client. Radford reference : Provides technical support to field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and debugging complex electro / mechanical equipment, computer systems, complex software, or networked and / or wireless systems.
Responds to situations where first-line product support has failed to isolate or fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software.
Reports design, reliability and maintenance problems or bugs to design engineering / software engineering. May be involved in customer installation and training.
Provides support to customer / users where the product is highly technical or sophisticated in nature. Survey Tip : In software companies this position generally interacts directly with the customer / user when the product is highly technical or sophisticated in nature, such as with systems level software where the user has a technical background.
In a less sophisticated environment, as with many applications products where the user is nontechnical, this position would generally interact with product support personnel and potentially the customer when the customer’s problem cannot be resolved directly by first-level resources.

This team is the 3rd line support for any issues related to the Storage infrastructure This role requires you to : Provide 3rd level support and management for enterprise storage environment.
Be the subject matter expert responsible for the operation of all things storage related. Identify and improve the customer storage environment.
This includes activities such as proactive monitoring, upgrades, and automation. Advise and assist the customer with queries, and complex projects that require storage technologies.
Use your technical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues within agreed SLA timeframes Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Perform well under pressure and changing project and BAU timeframes and priorities. Day to day operation and monitoring of backups to ensure that restores meet the agreed RPO and RTO.
Work in an Agile environment that is continually improving to deliver customer focused outcomes. This role will require you to be on-call and perform out of hours work.
To be the successful candidate you must have the following experience & skills. Have experience in the management and monitoring of large and complex SAN environments.
Experience with a wide variety of storage protocols and fabric infrastructure. Monitoring the environment with industry standard management and monitoring tools and platforms.
A knowledge of ITIL and Agile methodologies. Keep the storage environment evergreen by performing upgrades and patches to keep the environment within n-1 version compliance.
Experience with Microsoft technologies such as Active Directory, DNS, IIS etc would be advantageous. Be ambitious, a team player and always willing to go the extra mile.
Technical Requirements Expertise in administering Netapp 7-Mode and cdot, HP, Pure, Cisco as well as other IBM storage hardware and software.
Familiar with the storage and multipath configuration requirements on Windows, Linux, AIX, Solaris and VMware. Ensure that all backed up data can be restored to meets the customers RPO and RTO SLA’s.
Experience with storage protocols such as FCOE, iSCSI, FC as well as the management of Cisco fabric switches in relation to zoning and vsans etc Familiar with monitoring products such as Nagios, Splunk and SCOM would be advantageous.
Understanding and knowledge of VMware vSphere management would be advantageous. What will make you a good fit for the role?
