An exciting opportunity has arisen for an AP Team Leader to work within a well-recognised organisation within the public sector.
This is a full time, permanent position based in the Wellington CBD.
Your new role
The purpose of the Team Leader - Accounts Payable Query Resolution is to manage the Accounts Payable Query Resolution team in line with strategic business objectives and relevant Department standards.
This team is responsible for efficiently and effectively clearing payables invoices that have failed to process through to payment when initially input into the system.
This will be achieved through identifying underlying causes for delay and working with staff and vendors to alleviate the issues.
The team is also responsible for identifying payables invoices that have not been received by Accounts Payable and liaising with vendors to get these invoices submitted.
When significant trends of delinquency are highlighted through this work, the Team Leader will work with the Team Leader -
Accounts Payable Transactional and the Accounts Payable Analyst to design and implement permanent solutions to the issues.
You will have 6 direct reports and be responsible for reporting the team performance to the Accounting Manager.
