  • About the role

    We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer for a technical role in supporting and maintaining the Bank's Ctrl M environment across multiple platforms including RHEL and Mainframe.

    The role will help to efficiently support the Ctrl M and IOA Control Products and its infrastructure while providing resolution for incidents and ensuring high availability of the toolsets.

    In this role you will have the opportunity to, amongst other duties :

  • Provide technical leadership for the Ctrl M and Enterprise Manager design, architecture and best practises
  • Provide resolution of incidents relating to the Ctrl M, Control-D and IOA environment
  • Provide leadership for Technical issues related to Automation and drive the service towards self-serviceability
  • Focus on Automation and identify and automate all the repeated manual tasks
  • Share the escalation matters globally across ANZ
  • Provide mentoring and advice to those whom use the Ctrl M and IOA services
  • This role involves on-call work however we balance this with flexibility as at ANZ, we want to ensure you achieve work-life balance.

    Location : Wellington (pref) or Auckland Role Type : Permanent, full time Hours : Standard business hours with some on-call required About you

  • To be successful in this role, you will have, be or bring the following;
  • Senior experience in supporting a Ctrl M enterprise infrastructure, software and support environment
  • Proficient technical subject matter expertise and practical experience in the following technologies;RHEL Linux Microsoft Windows Sever 2000-2016, all variationsUnix ServerWeb technologiesNetworking protocols and topologiesUnderstanding modern IaaS, SaaS, PaaS, etc concepts and methodologiesUnderstanding Agile work practices Proficient coding experience in Java Springboot, Javascript and Thymeleaf.
  • Knowledge and senior experience maintaining large-scale best-practice platform configurations in an enterprise scale environment
  • Experience in Cloud deployment, CI / CD, and on-premise Ctrl M environments
  • Excellent automation and scripting skills
  • Excellent technical documentation skills
  • Strong communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Sound problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to cover Senior Engineer functions delegated during absences (stakeholder management, reporting, etc)
  • Ability to deliver outcomes and meet targets in a technically competitive environment
  • Experience in disaster recovery procedures and testing at an enterprise level
  • Experience as a technical support resource in a large enterprise environment
