The successful candidate will deliver high-quality policy advice, hold key internal and external relationships, and champion our Māori Outcomes mahi.
At a minimum, this role will assist in the delivery of our Mana Whenua Outcomes Framework (outcomes framework). The outcomes framework is our agreement between mana whenua and Eke Panuku and it supports the Auckland Council Group strategy Kia Ora Tāmaki Makaurau.
Māori Outcomes is a cross-cutting theme for Eke Panuku, and this means our whole business should be delivering positive outcomes for Māori in all our work.

Both relationship building and an understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi is essential in our work. Ideally, you have experience working in a complex stakeholder environment.
For example, an understanding of mana whenua and mataawaka interests in Tāmaki Makaurau will be advantageous. You should have an appreciation of tikanga me reo Māori, or at minimum, a willingness to learn and upskill.
