The Higgins Green Team working on the East Waikato Network Outcomes Contract (EWNOC) has an awesome opportunity for a hands on Maintenance Foreperson to manage and lead the maintenance crew who look after cyclic maintenance works, annual programmed works, pre-reseal repairs, and additional works projects provided by Waka Kotahi.

  • The EWNOC is a new form of highway maintenance and covers 530 kilometres of highways in the Hauraki Plains Coromandel Peninsula region.

    The main office is based in Morrinsville with two bases in Kopu and Whitianga. What you’ll bring to the role :

  • Previous Pavement and Traffic Services maintenance experience
  • Be a skilled excavator operator
  • Ability to work with crews and foster a winning culture
  • Experience in leading and motivating a team
  • Full class 2 licence with WTR
  • Strong focus on health and safety not only for yourself, your colleagues but also the public
  • Reliable, honest team player who leads from the front
