Job Description

This is a newly created role that sits as part of the DC Network Leadership Team and provides overall management of operational activity and support functions in the North Island Fulfilment Centre

Reporting into the GM Fulfilment & Network, you will ensure the Fulfilment Centre operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal, by leading the FC management team and establishing, monitoring, and managing operational goals

Drawing on your toolkit of skills and proven experience your other key objectives will be :

  • Identify opportunities for the improvement and future proofing of the FC, build and deliver thorough business cases in support of these initiatives, and deliver these successfully
  • Develop end to end warehouse operating system by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilisation, inventory management, and shipping
  • Lead management team to support team members to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
  • Lead the review and preparation of workflow, labour and space requirements, equipment layout, and action plans while ensuring productivity, quality and customer service standards are met
  • Lead a safe and healthy work culture and the environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards, procedures and behaviours while complying with legal regulations
  • Qualifications

  • Proven work experience as a fulfilment centre senior leader
  • Leadership skills and ability to manage leaders of large teams of people
  • Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices, ideally in an e-commerce environment
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Effective internal relationship building
  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
  • Hands-on experience with warehouse management software and databases
  • Ability to think both logically and creatively
  • High degree of organization and a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management or business administration (preferred)
