Our client, a global Facilities Management and Maintenance company, is looking to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor (QS) / Senior Estimator to work within the facilities management and maintenance team across a range of small works projects.
With an exceptional global reputation, our client is a leader in total facilities management services, and their continued success and growth has led to a demand for a Senior Estimator / QS within their Auckland team.
Successful applicants must have the following attributes :
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a commercial QS and / or estimating role
Leadership experience and a passion for managing and mentoring a team
Quantity Surveying qualification or recognised trade experience within building services
Successful track record in estimating (preparation and presentation)
Excellent analytical skills
Strong client focus and relationship building skills
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
The role :
Review project documents
Calculate and prepare detailed estimates
Liaise with sub contractors and suppliers to gauge accurate pricing
Compile and present reports on activity and forecasting
Complete and manage submissions, tenders and quotes
Manage client meetings throughout the pricing process
