AFFCO Rangiuru seeks an exceptional meat industry professional for the role of Production Manager.
AFFCO Rangiuru is a mixed species processing plant located in Te Puke, Bay of Plenty. The area is a superb lifestyle location close to beaches, great fishing and close to Mt Maunganui and Tauranga.
Servicing an extensive array of global and New Zealand markets, AFFCO Rangiuru is part of the AFFCO NZ Ltd group which runs a nationwide operation encompassing nine meat processing plants and two further plants processing hides and pelts.
This position is an integral part of the plant management team and has functional relationships with employees, livestock procurement, slaughter, cold stores, MPI, Assure Quality, compliance, plant administration and asset management.
The primary objective of the role is to assist the Plant Manager in the oversight of the processing of stock to company, customer and regulatory standards whilst maximising the plant's profitability and efficiency.
The role is also critical to the supervision and motivation of the plant workforce and requires exceptional skills in relationship building and man-management.
Key Responsibilities Include :
Previous experience in a meat processing environment at a Supervisory or Management level is essential. The right candidate will be highly organised, self-motivated and passionate about delivering excellent results.
Qualifications
A relevant tertiary qualification would be advantageous.
