About the role
Our Electrical Services team based in Islington have an opportunity for a Metering Calibration Technician with previous experience in installation, calibration and maintenance of revenue metering equipment.
The successful candidate will also participate in a 24 / 7 emergency call-out roster.
Experience in the identification of repair and maintenance of calibration equipment
3 years post-qualification experience in the HV electrical industry, or testing and calibration environments, with a working knowledge of : Current Transformers Voltage Transformers Meters Calibration equipment. Test Instruments
Be physically fit especially with regards to heavy lifting and stretching
Hold a current NZ recognised trade qualification relevant to the electrical industry
Proficient in the Microsoft suite of programmes
Valid New Zealand full class one drivers licence
Duties and or responsibilities
Identification of repair and maintenance requirements
Completing revenue metering calibration tasks including planned and unplanned maintenance tasks
Work quality ensuring compliance with Broadspectrum, client and relevant industry standards and procedures
Reporting and administration requirements that are completed on time
Demonstrate excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
Provide advice and technical support to team members and contractors
Demonstrate high levels of understanding of and adherence to the Health and Safety practices and regulations of the Electrical Industry
Willingness and ability to maintain and demonstrate an up-to-date understanding of and compliance with Broadspectrum’s Quality, Health, Safety and Emergency systems, policies and procedures.
