This is a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated, and communicative individual to help us plan and drive a multi-year strategy of service and output improvements to mature the enterprise architecture function within Datacom’s Group Architecture practice.
The Enterprise Architect role resides within our Corporate Group Strategy & Architecture function and part of the wider CIO / CISO group.
The role is responsible for supporting the identification, communication, and evolution of the enterprise architecture for the Datacom Group.
As an experienced Enterprise Architect, you will be supporting the establishment and maintenance of our architectural direction covering architectural principles, guardrails, roadmaps, frameworks and patterns across business, data, application, and technology domains.
With a passion for business and technology strategy, innovation, and emerging technologies and as a strategic advisor to the business, you will be in continual collaboration with a variety of stakeholders.
Leveraging organisational and architectural assets in aligning business and technology outcomes.
Define the necessary structure and components of the Group Architecture practice and support the establishment and continuous evolution of the enterprise architecture function within Datacom.
Define the enterprise architecture deliverables and implementation plan in context of the appropriate Datacom Group strategy, business unit plans and product roadmaps.
Support the implementation of new frameworks and methods to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the Group Architecture practice.
Drive the development, maintenance, and communication of appropriate enterprise architecture models and roadmaps for business, information, applications, and technology architectures.
Govern the application of architecture principles, guardrails, and standards within Datacom Group and the respective business units’ approach to product and service design.
Track and evaluate emerging technologies, and map potential solutions back to the business model to identify how they might unlock opportunities and address challenges.
Relevant qualifications and 5+ years’ experience as an Enterprise Architect, preferably with 2+ of those years as a Senior Enterprise Architect.
Understanding of IT Managed Services, Professional Services / Consulting and SaaS business models is preferred.
Strong awareness and understanding of traditional and emerging IT services and capabilities.
Solid experience with business capability mapping, process design and workflow automation.
Understanding of Agile principles and ways of working, a growth mindset demonstrating a flexible and adaptive working approach.
Experience in designing, implementing, and managing architecture governance including but not limited to architecture review boards, framework customisation and defining architecture principles and guardrails.
Certification and experience in the practical application of TOGAF (or other architecture methodologies) and ITIL methodologies.
Experience using enterprise architecture tools.
Strong business acumen and knowledge of financial management practices.
Experience in mentoring and coaching aspiring enterprise architects would be valuable.
