Senior Project Manager, Delivery (Hamilton)

Play a key project delivery role across Hamilton and the surrounding regions, where you will be a trusted advisor and project delivery person contributing to the delivery of critical infrastructure, industrial, manufacturing, water services, local government, housing growth and health related projects.
This is a unique opportunity to join the Beca Project Strategy & Delivery (PS&D) team based in the Beca Hamilton office.
You will be part of both our close-knit team in the Hamilton branch, as well as working across the broader regional team throughout New Zealand, with a proud Project Management track record both locally and nationally, with a record of strong client relationships.
You will be part of a team known for their project delivery’ abilities, who can lead delivery of complex projects through design, feasibility, consenting, procurement, construction, and project hand over.
You will also be the champion for our PS&D people, helping to coach, mentor and develop them as they grow their capability and careers.
Being based in our regional Hamilton office, will give you both broad industry exposure, as well as direct access to both our regional and national experts across Beca disciplines.
Our business is about to commence several multi-year development programs with an unrivalled pipeline into 2023 and beyond.
This includes being a partner on the Defence Estate Alliance as well as projects across civil, infrastructure, water services, commercial buildings, iwi and community development projects.

In this role, you will have plenty of scope for success and we are looking for a high performing professional with a real passion for project delivery, developing people and achieving client outcomes.
You will enjoy being a trusted advisor, where at Beca you will be respected by the many disciplines and professions we collaborate with on projects.
You will have the ability to lead and manage projects, building credible relationships across designers, client, contractors, and iwi partners, with the ability to guide, collaborate, influence, and instigate project conversations to ensure delivery.
You will know when to encourage, thank, support and challenge teams, including having courageous conversations when required.
You will be energetic and passionate with a bias for action, known for working with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to make things happen.
You will enjoy building relationships and understand key project requirements, leading people and commercial judgement. You will have current leadership capabilities with a major project delivery and professional services background with diverse business experience.
You will also enjoy leading project teams, providing support and guidance. Like us, you will also enjoy working with clients across a range of complex problems to turn ideas into reality, displaying both a creative and logical mindset.
You will have previous experience working in a consulting environment in a Senior Role as a Project Manager, Engineer or in a technical role, and are now looking to move into a delivery role within a professional consulting business.
You may have run projects of different scope and scale previously and be ready to make that next step in the complexity and scale of projects you work on.
You will also be ready for increased responsibilities across the commercial outcomes of a project, with the desire to learn about local and central government funding of large infrastructure and buildings projects, and strategic regional planning.
You will be a savvy, innovative and commercially minded professional with a collaborative approach. We are a close-knit team who like to have fun along the way, so a good sense of humour will hold you in good stead.
